The Human Predicament in the 21st Century: A Way Forward In an age shaped by artificial intelligence and rapid technological change, humanity’s deepest crisis may not be a lack of knowledge, but a failure of understanding.

This book does not offer ready-made solutions. Instead, it asks a more fundamental question:

when the structure of the world changes, can we still relate to it authentically through understanding?

Reexamining the relationship between individual, society, and civilization, the book argues that information alone cannot produce meaning. While technology can generate, understanding cannot be outsourced.

It proposes that the world is not simply “out there,” but comes into wholeness through how it appears; that understanding is not merely cognition, but a reconnection between subject and world; and that meaning and ethics emerge only when genuine understanding occurs.

If understanding remains possible, a way forward remains open.
